Balance LEP - Licensed Educational Psychologist, Jennifer Judy

Balance LEP is run by Jennifer Judy, licensed educational psychologist (#4347) specializing in mental health, social-emotional learning, and mind-body wellness techniques for kids and families. Jennifer believes in a whole-child approach: one that focuses on various components of the child to support their overall goals of better emotional, social and academic success.

After 5 years as a classroom teacher, Jennifer earned her school psychology degree and credential, and has been working with students in the K-12 schools for the past 9 years.  Scope of practice includes educational assessments, individual and group counseling, parent meetings and consultation.  In 2022, Jennifer completed a 200 hour teacher training for yoga in a program geared for educators, and began to bring yoga practices into her schools.  What followed was the development of workshops for kids combining the strategies of therapy and the grounding of yoga to bring a holistic approach to children's wellbeing.

A Balanced Approach

Health, Movement, Wellbeing

I take a personalized approach to mental health and wellness. I am dedicated to creating awareness, resilience, empathy, wellness, and empowerment in my students. I believe in holistic well-being for kids, and specialize in social-emotional learning and mind-body wellness techniques for kids and families.  We utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as many mindful practices associated with yoga, to help kids and families try different strategies that work for them.  Each workshop includes supports for families so that all can help the child on their journey.  In addition to the workshops, you can book a one-time or multi-session family class, or for your groups like scouts, youth group or neighborhood associations.
